Billy Dale Matthews was born in Belleville, Kansas to Bill and Kathleen Matthews on May 24, 1957.
A toe-headed little boy, he claims to have spent the majority of his childhood upside down...he loved to walk on his hands.
Billy and his parents moved around quite a bit. They lived in Texas, moved back to Kansas and finally to East Moline,
Illinois where he graduated from high school.
Billy was a SigEp at Southern Illinois University. He met the love of his life while in persuit of her best friend
Kathy. Kathy didn't like Billy and tried to pawn him off to an Illinois farm girl named Rhonda. Soon, they were
dating. Billy said he knew Rhonda was the one when she hugged him after a long shift at the dog food factory.
He was stinky and she didn't care.
Rhonda Sue was born to Kenneth and Charlotte Wagehoft on October 28, 1957 in Morrisonville, Illinois.
She was the second youngest of six kids. One of her favorite childhood memories was the time she shot her younger brother,
Harley, in the rear end with a beebee gun. While in high school, Rhonda broke her leg in a sledding accident.
Karma? She graduated high school as a self-proclaimed member of the senior class underground movement, what the administration
referred to as S.C.U.M.
At a party she was having at her parent's house (don't tell Charlotte!), Rhonda realized Billy was the one. Granted,
he brought another date to the party. Rhonda wasn't pleased. But, as he left (his date was already in the car)
he wrapped his arms around Rhonda and gave her the best kiss she'd ever had. The rest is history.
